VLT-2
In 1940, during the occupation of France, the Germans captured several hulls of unfinished French boats. After liberation in 1944, two hulls were completed as torpedo boats VLT-1 and VLT-2. In the summer of 1949, the boat was disarmed, and in 1951 it was dismantled. This boat is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 85 km/h (45 knots). It is armed with two 550 mm torpedo tubes mounted on each side of the deck. The gun armament includes two 40 mm Bofors L/60 guns and two 20 mm Oerlikon autocannons. |
