The Centauro RGO is a special modification of Centauro I, developed by IVECO Defence company upon the order of Royal Guard of Oman in 2008. This verison is a most advanced modification of Centauro, with an improved armor of the turret hull and an upgraded electronics and optics. It is capable of reaching the maximum speed of up to 110 km/h. The Centauro RGO is armed with a 120 mm smoothbore gun with a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun, and also equipped with 12.7 mm and 7.62 mm machine guns. The ammunition includes HEATFS and APFSDS shells. Additionally, the tank is equipped with smoke grenade launchers and thermal vision for a gunner, and night vision device for the driver and commander.
