In May 45
T-34-85 The T-34-85 is one of the late-war variants of the legendary Soviet T-34 tank, entering service in the spring of 1944. This version was developed in response to new battlefield threats, namely the German Pz.Kpfw. V Panther and the heavy Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger and Tiger II. Its main armament is the 85 mm ZiS-S-53 gun, providing formidable firepower against enemy armor. In this particular rendition, the T-34-85 is shown in a rare field-modified configuration with appliqué anti-heat screens salvaged from destroyed German vehicles. IS-1 The IS-1 heavy tank was fitted with additional protection in the form of spare track links mounted on the sides of its turret and on the lower front plate — one of the most vulnerable areas of the hull. The vehicle is also equipped with a camouflage net, and a steel helmet has been placed over the headlight on the front hull. Its primary armament is the 85 mm D-5T gun. Sd.Kfz. 251/21 (Hanomag) This is the Red Army’s captured anti-aircraft variant of the Sd.Kfz. 251 armored personnel carrier. Instead of the original MG 151/15 cannon, it mounted the more powerful 20 mm MG 151/20 gun. While armor penetration is marginally reduced, this AA configuration can fire Minengeschoss high-explosive rounds, which proved extremely effective against enemy aircraft. |
