Crusader II “The Saint”
The Crusader Mk.II cruiser tank was developed in the early 1940’s. This modification was developed after it became clear that there was insufficient armour on tanks like the Crusader Mk.I. As a result of the modernisation, the armour on the tank was strengthened, but the basic design remained unchanged. The engine installed allows the tank to reach a maximum speed of 42 km/h. The armament on the tank is represented by a 40mm Ordnance QF 2 pounder cannon with 110 rounds of ammunition, as well as two 7.92 mm BESA machine guns. This premium model carries the livery of A squadron of the 10th regiment of Royal Hussars, 2nd Armoured Brigade of the 1st Armoured Division, which took part in fighting in North Africa in 1941. Spitfire Mk.IIa Venture I
In July of 1940, the new Merlin XII engine was installed into a serial Spitfire. The modification was designated the Spitfire Mk.IIa. Tests showed that the use of a more powerful and high-altitude engine made it possible to increase the service ceiling of the fighter by almost a kilometer and improve the climb rate. The aircraft was immediately put into mass production, and went on to participate in the final phases of the Battle of Britain. The 1175 hp engine allows this fighter to reach a top speed of over 560 km/h. This premium fighter is armed with eight 7.7mm Browning machine guns and carries the livery of 411 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force. |
