F-4EJ Phantom II is an upgraded version of the F-4E, developed by a Mitsubishi company in the 1970s for the needs of the Japan Air Force. The first F-4EJ were focused on performing air defense tasks and did not carry any offensive weaponry. Later on, the aircraft were re-equipped to solve strike missions. The fighter is armed with a 20 mm JM61A1 cannon. The suspended weaponry presented by the AIM-7D/E or AIM-9E/P guided air-to-air missiles, 20 mm GAU-4 guns containers, Zuni Mk32 or FFAR Mighty Mouse unguided rockets, and also 500 or 750 pound caliber bombs.
