Type 90B "Fuji"
The Type 90 was the main battle tank of the Japanese Armed Forces, developed in 1976-1986 to replace the Type 61 and Type 74 tanks. Type 90 entered service in 1992. A 120 mm cannon with a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun, stabilized in two planes, was a novelty. The ammunition includes APFSDS and cumulative shells. The tank is capable of reaching a maximum speed of up to 73 km/h. Additionally, the Type 90B is equipped with a 12.7 mm M2HB anti-aircraft machine gun, a thermal imager for the gunner, an automatic loader and smoke grenade launchers. |
